Adult Training Information:
Youth Protection Guidelines (YPG) training is recommended for every adult in the troop. It is required that at least one adult listed on each tour permit be certified. Refer to YPG Training Instructions for information about how to complete this course online.
Weather Hazard Training is also now required for at least one adult listed on each tour permit. It can be completed online - follow the same instructions as for YPG training.
The Scripps Mesa District and San Diego-Imperial Council websites list many other valuable training opportunities.
When you have completed YPG or other training, please inform our Database Manager Jan McGinn, so she can record this in our database.
Troop Uniform Information:
Class A Uniform: Consists of official khaki uniform shirt with appropriate insignia and patches, troop neckerchief and slide, scout socks, scout pants or shorts, scout belt, and merit badge sash. Either the "Centennial Uniform" or the "Old Uniform" is acceptable. Click on the following links for more information:

Class B Uniform: Red troop T shirt with scout pants or shorts.
Uniform Bank: Troop 616 maintains a uniform bank of free gently used uniform pieces that troop members are welcome to take. These items typically include red cotton Class B Troop 616 T-shirts, official scout pants and shorts (most are in the smaller sizes) and some socks. If you would like to look for items in the bank, or donate items to the bank, please see the Uniform Bank Coordinator.
Class B Troop T-shirts: New red cotton troop T-shirts are available for immediate purchase for $10 each from the Uniform Bank Coordinator.
Class B High Performance Wicking T-shirts and Troop Sweatshirts: These items are special-ordered on a prepaid basis approximately once per year. They are optional. The troop has to meet a minimum quantity to place an order.
